Eggs-ster-min-ate

I'm sorry. That title was a little…. weird. But I hope you caught the reference! (Doctor Who, for those of you who aren't as addicted as me.) Are you excited for the next episode? I can't wait!

Anyway, Easter Sunday is just around the corner and we're all preparing for the Easter Egg Hunt in my garden. Childish? A little. But a lot of fun! And if it decides to rain, well, we'll just have to do the hunt inside instead.

Lots of people are particular about eggs. There are so many to choose from; and such a wide variety of prices! But here's my top Easter-themed treats, for pockets and tummies of all sizes.

Lindor Assorted Mini egg Pack £1.99
If you're as in love with their truffles as I am, these eggs are going to hit the spot. They're tiny and brightly coloured; plus, you don't have to make that agonising decision between white, milk or dark chocolate! They're so small you can have one of each and not feel guilty.

Green and Black's Dark Egg, £6.59

Rich dark chocolate, deep and bitter. For those who like a little at a time! It uses FairTrade chocolate so you can rest assured that you will be helping others this Easter. And it's not even £7!

Hotel Chocolat's Easter Basket Selection, £35
A bit different from your typical Easter egg. Look how cute the Eggs on Toast are! If you're near a shop, take a visit; you may even get a few free samples! You can also buy the products separately if you'd rather pick your own.

Cadbury Creme Egg, under £1
How could I compile a list of eggs and not include this one? Creme Eggs aren't my cup of tea but there are plenty of others who like them!

Cadbury Caramel Egg, under £1
Now this is much better. A thick chocolate shell, with runny caramel… There's not much wrong with this one.

Hotel Chocolat's Raspberry Eton Mess Egg Sandwich, £8
Again, a bit more unusual than some other eggs. Creamy white chocolate and raspberry-flavoured swirls, with crunchy meringue pieces. I've had this one before and it doesn't disappoint! It's not too big either, so you could easily send it in the post to a friend.

And if you're watching your weight, you don't have to go off chocolate completely! Try Lush 's Mint Julips Lip Scrub - mint chocolate without the calories. And, you can lick the scrub off afterwards! This is in my Easter basket this year.

Or how about an old favourite of mine, Palmer's Cocoa Butter? It's a dreamily-scented body moisturiser that makes you feel as if you're wrapped in a layer of chocolate all day. It won't break the bank either!

What are you buying this year?
